(20 minutes)
Ingredients
Filet Minion
garlic (3 cloves, chopped)
butter (1-2tbsp)
salt
pepper
red wine (1/4 bottle)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
On a cutting board, season steak with salt, pepper, and garlic all over.
In a steel pan, on high heat, add butter, garlic, salt and pepper and let it get hot. Then add the steak to get a nice sear. Cook steak on both sides for 30 seconds-1min depending on thickness. Add half of the amount of red wine into the pan. Remove from heat and put the pan in the oven.
Cook steak in oven for 8-10 minutes, depending on thickness of the steak. Remove steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board. While the steak rests, put the pan back on the stove and turn on medium-high heat. Add the remainder of the red wine and a bit of butter. Using a spatula, scrape up all the bits of the pan and mix around until the jus is a bit thicker.
Put steak on a plate and ladle jus on top.
Serve with sides and enjoy!
