(30 minutes)
Ingredients
Pork chops (thin or thick cut, 1-1.5lb)
Olive oil
Butter (2 tbsp.)
Fennel seeds
Thyme
Salt
Pepper
Garlic cloves (6-8)
White wine (1/2 cup)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a steel pan, on high heat, add a bit of olive oil and the butter. While butter is melting, season pan with salt, pepper, thyme, and fennel seeds. Once the butter is fully melted and browned, add the garlic cloves and mix around for 1 minute. Then carefully add the pork chops to the pan. Cook for 1 minute, then flip over and cook the side for another minute. (For thick cut, cook 2min per side)
Remove pork from the pan and set aside on a dish. Turn heat down to a simmer, add white wine and mix around, scraping up all the bits from the pan. Put the pork back in the pan and then place it all in the oven. For thin cut pork chops, cook in the oven for 6-8 minutes. For thick cut, cook for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from oven, serve over rice or cous cous and with a veggie! Enjoy!
