Ingredients
Artichokes
Italian bread crumbs
grated cheese
salt
pepper
Chicken Broth
Cut off the stems of the artichokes and cut off the head of the artichoke so the top is in the shape of a circle. Then snip the tops of all the leaves where there are sharp edges.
With your hands, pull apart the leaves in the middle to open the artichoke up. Don't be shy they are tough! Sprinkle in desired amount of bread crumbs, then the grated cheese, then bread crumbs again. Season with salt and pepper.
Put artichokes into a pot, add a healthy amount of chicken broth (1/2-3/4 of the artichoke covered in the pot). Cover and steam for at least 30 min. You cannot over cook these, just leave on simmer and baste with chicken broth as necessary! The longer they cook the better they are!
