SLOPPY JOES

Ingredients
Chopped Meat (1-2lbs)
Tomato Paste (6 oz can)
Sloppy Joe Packet
Hamburger Buns
water (1/4 cup)
HOMEMADE SLAW
(5 minutes)
Ingredients
Red cabbage (1/4 lg head)
celery (3)
mayonnaise (2 tbsp.)
apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp.)
salt
pepper
powdered mustard
celery salt
sesame seeds
Homemade Slaw directions:
Chop red cabbage and celery into desired size (I like mine in small pieces). Transfer chopped cabbage and celery into a serving bowl.
In a mixing bowl or measuring cup add mayonnaise and apple cider and then season to your liking with salt, pepper, powdered mustard, celery salt, and sesame seeds. ( I go light on the celery salt, you just want a tiny hint of it)
Mix it all together and pour on top of the cabbage and celery. Mix that all together until fully coated.
Sloppy Joe Directions:
In a pan, on high heat, add chopped meat and using a spatula cook meat while chopping into small pieces. Once meat is brown and pink, reduce heat to medium-high heat.
Add sloppy joe packet, a whole can of tomato paste, and water. Mix all together and cook meat through. Then reduce heat to a simmer. Let cook for another 5 minutes, occasionally stirring.
Lightly toast hamburger rolls while meat simmers.
CONCOCT:
On the hamburger bun top with sloppy joe meat and homemade slaw. Serve and enjoy!
